This whisky was distilled in the last remaining pot still of the Karuizawa distillery and aged in bourbon barrels for more than three years before bottling at a hefty 62. 9% ABV. Only 219 bottles were produced.

This special bottling was released to celebrate Suntory's 90th anniversary in 1989

it blends only select malt whiskies from the distillery and from around the world

Only heavily peated malt from the Japanese Toyama region (47 ppm) was used for this distillate

In the 1990s

the Nagahama Distillery launched a new single cask bottling on the Japanese market

the bottles show signs of use and storage
