2013 Marie et Pierre Benetière Côte-Rôtie 'Cordeloux' (MAGNUM)Marie and Pierre Benetire are at the helm on this tiny Rhne domain. But quality in no way correlates to quantity here. Inspired by a sensitive philosophy of viticulture (eschewing pesticides and herbicides), they produce a small quantity of white and red wine which exhibit a rare purity and elegance. From an eponymous plot, this Cte Rtie stands out for its aromatic intensity, its delicate structure and its tension which means it lingers beautifully.

in homage to the name of her parents' estate combined with Béatrice's family name

This rice is first brewed along with spruce and pine needles then distilled and proofed down with spruce tea

While this estate needs no introduction to savvy collectors

mulberries with some aniseed and peppery spices

Each component malt is aged for at least twenty one years before blending to create this complex and lovely whisky
